In this role you’ll be part of a global team focused on execution of RIOP continuous improvement projects, focused on safety, automation and replication of best practices across all RIOP facilities.
This role will work across all RIOP facilities to provide hands-on support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines requirements for manufacturing. Staying abreast of manufacturing innovation through new technologies and modern manufacturing processes will be key to support deployment AI and Automation solutions across the facilities.
This role requires strong project management, effective collaboration and coaching to lead the effective planning and delivery of projects.
Travel to RIOP facilities to lead and/or support execution of these activities, will be a significant portion of the role, with up to 30% travel required. When not traveling to other RIOP facilities to support network projects, this role will be focused on continuous improvement projects at their home facility.
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience desired.
Degree or certification in automation/automation integration, ergonomics, industrial safety also considered.
Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
