Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer with 2-3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience to support production operations, process improvements, quality enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in a manufacturing environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and process validation activities.
  • Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment to optimize production efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, scrap rates, yield, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to resolve product and process quality issues.
  • Participate in Equipment Qualification, Process Validation, and Change Management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, fabrication, welding, injection molding, or packaging.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, Pareto Analysis).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar).
  • Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical device, electronics, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems.
