Level: 4 Year DegreePrice Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our Winder, GA manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for driving process improvements, reducing manufacturing costs, increasing productivity, and supporting capital and automation projects. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Production, Design Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Purchasing to improve safety, quality, delivery, and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement process improvement and cost reduction initiatives throughout the plant.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and develop solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including flow manufacturing, 5S, visual management, and Kanban systems.
- Support automation projects, equipment upgrades, and new manufacturing technology implementations.
- Develop, justify and manage capital projects from concept through implementation.
- Maintain plant layouts, work instructions, process documentation, and engineering change records.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Purchasing to improve manufacturability, material flow, and overall operational performance.
Qualifications
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience (including Interships/Co-ops)
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, assembly operations, or discrete manufacturing preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement and cost reduction projects.
- Experience supporting capital equipment or automation projects preferred.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Effective problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software preferred, PLC programming or troubleshooting experience is a plus.
Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by improvements in safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, process efficiency, equipment utilization, and successful implementation of continuous improvement and capital projects.
