What a typical day looks like:
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties.
Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications, bill of materials and design changes and responds to their request.
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.
Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability
Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production
Conduct and support Validation activities on Manufacturing System/Equipment and/or process setup.
Oversee new process equipment production
Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters
Trouble shoot process related issues
Participate to activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
Evaluate and select various engineered materials
Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products
Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements.
Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.
Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities
Develop and maintain process documentation
Review processing methods
Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer
Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.
Participates in cost improvement/reduction programs as part of LEAN
Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs.
Participate and adhere to Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policy, programs and procedures.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Technical knowledge of PCBA and/or System box build
Able to read and understand 2D drawings, schematics for components
English proficiency required.
The ability to communicate in Mandarin (spoken and written) will be considered a beneficial skill. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
PC Literate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD etc.
CAD system basics
Good technical and commercial communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a customer-oriented environment and work well with all internal functional areas, customers and suppliers.
