At Caterpillar’s Indonesia Batam, we manufacture Hydraulic Shovels products used in building the infrastructure and mining to move materials that makes a better world.AsaManufacturing Engineering at Caterpillar Indonesia Batam, you willleadteam responsible for developing and implementing new and improved plant operations including production and manufacturing, maintenance, engineering support, safety, regulatory compliance,distributionand warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead CPPD activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) and existing product programs, coordinating engineering releases, implementation plans, and key program milestones to ensure successful execution.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to review engineering changes and resolve technical or process issues.

  • Review and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), assessing impacts on manufacturing, quality, supply chain, cost, and delivery while ensuringtimelyimplementation.

  • Monitor project progress, track schedules,identifyrisks, and develop mitigation plans to achieve programobjectivesandmaintainon-time delivery.

  • Develop,maintain, andanalyzeCPPD metrics, dashboards, and performance reports to support program visibility and data-driven decision-making.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Built-in Quality (BIQ), and standard work principles to improve process efficiency, product quality, and operational performance.

  • Lead the development, automation, and standardization of CPPD tools, systems, workflows, and best practices across product groups and engineering organizations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

  • Experience in product development, manufacturing engineering, project engineering, or related technical fields.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with manufacturing engineering in the fabrication / welding process

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong communicationand stakeholder management abilities, andproficiencyin both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.

  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality management practices.

  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
