An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead.
This position will be responsible for.
Providing support for manufacturing processes on site inc. CNC, EDM, Waterjet and Automated operations
Providing support for manufacturing to improve existing processes
Developing automated manufacturing processes
Main Responsibilities:
Create, verify, and release programs for CNC, EDM & Waterjet Machines
Create, verify, and release robot programs for automated cells
Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes
Reduce costs and improve current manufacturing techniques
Creating supporting documentation for CNC, EDM, Waterjet & Automated operations (SOP and EMS)
Support the identification and implementation of new manufacturing technology
Responsible for program storage, data back-ups and revision control for manufacturing equipment
Implement and support EH&S activities
Minimum of a HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
A minimum of five years’ relevant experience within an engineering environment
Proficient in CAD, Siemens NX an advantage
Good understanding of tooling and fixture design
Experience trouble-shooting mechanical systems (pneumatics, tooling, measurement feedback systems)
Good understanding of engineering drawings
Knowledge of automation systems
High level of computer literacy (Word/Excel/Project)
Good judgment and decision making
Communication and team working skills
Candidates with less experience may be considered with a degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
Advantageous Experience:
CMM Programming experience (Renishaw Modus)
Robot programming experience, Yaskawa or Fanuc an advantage
