Hexcel is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Amesbury, MA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Drive innovation and world class manufacturing through introduction and development of new equipment and processes.
Determine required equipment specifications for new capital investment projects.
Provide hands-on experience with machine installation, start-up, process development, and documentation.
Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce cost, improve quality, throughput, and safety.
Conduct trials to generate data supporting both production and product development efforts.
Work closely with production groups to provide technical assistance with processes, equipment configurations and upgrades.
Help generate work instructions and process control documents.
Work closely with Environmental, Health and Safety department to improve safety and sustainability of existing processes
Provide leadership and promote safety in the workplace.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Engineering required
2 years minimum of hands-on manufacturing equipment experience required
Experience with 3D modeling software a plus
Experience with PLCs, HMIs and automated systems desired
Ability to diagnose and execute repairs on manufacturing equipment
Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s, electrical, and mechanical drawings
Mechanically inclined
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work well with others in a team atmosphere
Must be US citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
Salary range for this role: $90,000 to $115,000
