Primary Purpose of Role:
The Manufacturing Engineer position develops and implementsoptimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methodsin accordance withproduct specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised productsResponsible for the design and/or testing of tooling and equipment and/or planning the manufacturing processes in a designated area of the manufacturing plant
Key Responsibilities:
Assistin the development of manufacturing systems with the focus on continuous improvement related to quality and throughput capability of production equipment.
Apply knowledge of product design fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities;establishingstandards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes.
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities;establishingstandards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Occasional instruction, training, and assignment of work to a small group of employees.
Coordinates activities to support manufacturing launch of new or revised programs.
Analyze process elements for improved manufacturing capability.
Analyze equipment deficiencies for manufacturing improvements.
Provide technical support for specific plant operations.
Physical presence in the workplace is an essential function

Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degreein Engineeringfield
Experience:
Required
1 to3+years’ experience
Experience in part processing using various grinding, turning, machining center equipment.
CNC programming experience with a thorough knowledge of machine control systems.
Project management experiencewith regard tomachine procurement, cost analysis, and process validation.
Direct manufacturing experience with at least one of the followingcomponentgroups: rotating and reciprocating components, gears, and/or prismatic parts
Preferred
5+years experience
Experience working with Unigraphics and other CAD programs.
Experience in gear/spline manufacturing, gear geometry, analytical gear evaluation
