Job Location: Automatic Pool Covers, Inc - Westfield, IN 46074Are you someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and building things that actually matter? We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to help drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in the production of our automatic pool cover systems.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working closely with production teams, vendors, and leadership to make operations run smoother and smarter.
What You’ll Do
- Improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and safety
- Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and process improvements
- Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues
- Support new product launches and engineering changes
- Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation
- Collaborate with purchasing and vendors on materials and components
- Help reduce waste, downtime, and production costs
- Monitor product quality and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or production environments
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- CAD experience is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working both on the production floor and in an office setting
