In this position...

This pivotal, highly visible role sits within the new Advanced Program Team inside of the Global Manufacturing Engineering organization and helps shape future model programs to be leaders in the industry. The Advanced Program Development Team engages with Product Development, Manufacturing Strategy, Architecture and Final Assembly Advanced Eng.

Feasibility Teams to define the overall program strategy and define/deliver program costing for all future models.

As part of this team, you will interact directly with high level leadership as an overall Study Lead to present findings/costing on program studies for Final Assembly. You will lead multiple skill teams from different areas to align on a strategy and determine the impact/cost for various programs and plants at the same time.

What you'll do...

  • Engage with Product Development and Manufacturing Architecture teams to understand new model program content and assumptions

  • Define manufacturing strategy and overall process for future programs

  • Engage, on an as needed basis, tooling development, facilities, and/or conveyor/controls engineers for program specific, finite strategy and content definition

  • Deliver turnkey costing for all content necessary to deliver program through the <PS>, <PSC>, and <PA> study milestones

  • Lead Q-Form process: collection of assumptions, GMOD population, and communication to functional teams (as needed) and MSAP

  • Support MSAP and Mfg Architecture teams with Target Setting prior to <PS>

  • Manage Program Management level cost reporting of LLF calendarization and budget to quotes

  • Manage Checkbook from <PS> to <PA>, leading handoff to MPT post-<PA>

  • Forecast future spending across launch of new product

You'll have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance or equivalent

  • Self-starter who can operate independently.

  • 5+ years experience managing complex projects in a large team setting

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong project / time management skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (internal / external).

Even better, you may have...

  • 3-5 years of demonstrating ability to efficiently query, extract, and analyze data.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint (required); Access, Analytics / Data mining, Alteryx, SQL, Qlik Sense, PowerBI (preferred).

  • Experience leading a project or program from start to finish.

  • Knowledge of the manufacturing program approval processes.

  • Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing principles.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
