Our award-winning client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise in manufacturing and the installed base. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing cost-effective manufacturing and field processes, diagnosing technical issues in complex robotic systems, managing work orders, and continuously improving processes for efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in complex robotic systems, including electro-mechanics, pneumatics, infrared laser markers, and vision systems.
Develop and enhance manufacturing and field processes, focusing on quality, efficiency, availability, and cost reduction.
Investigate parts design and manufacturing issues, proposing and authoring ECN corrective actions.
Design and procure tools and equipment to improve manufacturing quality and efficiency.
Create and implement optimal manufacturing processes to ensure a smooth product flow through assembly, qualification, and shipping.
Develop manufacturing and field processes, creating work instructions for new products and changes in existing products.
Provide technical expertise to supply chain management, emphasizing quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Lead efforts to identify and implement cost-effective outsourcing strategies.
Mentor junior Engineers and technicians.
Create and maintain manufacturing work orders, including routing.
Verify manufacturing compliance and inventory disposition by approved ECNs.
Provide support to the Customer Care Department to minimize production equipment downtime.
Create models for current and future automation equipment to predict End of Life (EOL) timespans.
Conduct Bill of Material audits.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in 3-D CAD, with experience in Solid Works being a plus.
4-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience, including working with complex electro-mechanical systems, laser markers, and pneumatics.
Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles in a high-tech, low-volume environment.
Direct experience in Engineering Change Processing.
Understanding of ERP systems, with experience in Oracle being a plus.
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is required.
Familiarity with Big Data analysis tools (Tableau, SalesForce, etc.) is a plus.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (minimum 50 lbs) regularly, such as inventory, tools, and instrumentation.
