Position: Manufacturing Director
My client is expanding its international manufacturing capabilities and seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Director to lead operations in Guangzhou, China.
The Manufacturing Director Jewelry will oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations in our China and Thailand facility. This leadership role requires a hands-on, experienced professional with a deep understanding of fine jewelry production, lean manufacturing principles, and global supply chain dynamics. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure quality standards, optimize production efficiency, and lead a diverse team of skilled artisans and technicians
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to meet company goals and objectives
- Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Manage and optimize production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage and develop a team of production supervisors and staff
- Oversee budget and cost control measures to ensure profitability
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in jewelry manufacturing, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of fine jewelry production processes, including casting, stone setting, polishing, plating, and finishing.
Proven track record of managing large-scale manufacturing operations in an international environment, preferably in China or Asia.
Experience with ERP systems, production planning tools, and quality management systems.
