Arthrex is actively searching for a student pursuing an engineering degree to support the component manufacturing team (Engineering Support Services (ESS)) in Ave Maria, FL (AMIE). The ESS team is responsible for supporting the CNC machined component manufacturing processes at Artherx. The successful candidate will prepare, execute, and document CNC process validations with guidance from the engineering staff. The individual will perform various inspection methods (Micro-Vu, comparator, attribute gages, micrometer, caliper) and will be detail-oriented in the execution and documentation of these inspection methods. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner. This co-op will run from July 2026 – December 2026. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Ave Maria, FL facility.

Main Objective:

Co-op will be involved in medical device manufacturing process design/implementation/validation as well as process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Run statistical analysis on Minitab.
  • Design and implement various projects, such as tool mapping, via Solidworks.
  • Assist in the drafting and implementation of standard work instructions.
  • Conduct engineering validations.
  • Perform destructive testing
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an engineering degree or a recent graduate within the last six months. Junior or senior with a Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
    (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements /Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing and possess the ability to work through technical issues.
  • Prior experience with MiniTab preferred.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Knowledge of PC, Solidworks 3D modeling software a plus.
  • Prior experience with basic hand tools, manual machines, CNC machines preferred.
