Position Title: Architect/Senior Engineer – Manufacturing Automation
Location: Suzhou
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Lead Engineer to spearhead the digital transformation and automation initiatives at our manufacturing facility.
This role is critical in driving the adoption of advanced technologies, optimizing processes, and creating a standardized, data-driven ecosystem to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Lead the implementation of automation projects, including system integration, process optimization, and deployment of advanced technologies such as MES, IoT, APS, AI/ML, robotics, and automation systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and governance approaches (e.g., ISO13485, TS16949) .
Manage project scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, and budgets, ensuring cost control within the allocated budget
Conduct system verification, troubleshooting, and quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by embedding lean methodologies and fostering a culture of innovation
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development
Analyze data and generate reports to measure project performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) is highly desirable
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with proven success in managing automation projects.
Strong background in digital manufacturing, IT development, and system integration.
Proficiency in engineering software such as C++, LabView, PLC, SolidWorks, and robotics systems.
Deep expertise in manufacturing and supply chain technologies, including MES, IoT, APS, ERP, and advanced planning systems
Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE, CPK, GR&R, and other quality tools is a plus
Exceptional communication skills in English (written and verbal) and the ability to engage effectively across organizational levels
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate long-term vision into actionable plans
Willingness to travel internationally to support global projects and teams
