Position Description

As a Manufacturing Administrator at the Goa Converter Factory, you will provide structured administrative and operational support to the manufacturing organization. You will maintain production and workforce records, prepare routine and ad-hoc reports, coordinate manufacturing documentation, and support reliable information flow across factory functions. The role requires accuracy, confidentiality, responsiveness and a strong service mindset in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, validate and maintain manufacturing information such as working hours, attendance, absenteeism, workload, production output, operating status, defects and rework inputs.
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports, correspondence, statistics, presentations and review packs for manufacturing and factory management.
  • Maintain manufacturing records, trackers, document repositories and filing systems with appropriate version control and retrieval discipline.
  • Administer programs, projects and processes specific to the manufacturing organization, including follow-up of actions and due dates.
  • Coordinate shopfloor training records, skill matrices, onboarding documentation and periodic validity checks in collaboration with relevant functions.
  • Support production KPI reporting, daily and weekly review preparation, and consolidation of inputs from Production, Quality, SCM, EHS, Maintenance, Finance and P&O.
  • Support audit readiness by organizing objective evidence, statutory or internal records, and closure tracking for assigned manufacturing actions.
  • Assist with departmental purchase requests, consumable tracking, budget or cost trackers, and CAPEX/OPEX documentation as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, improve data quality and digitize repetitive administrative workflows.
  • Maintain training, competency and authorization records for shopfloor personnel and support onboarding coordination for employees and contract workforce.
  • Support documentation for internal audits, EHS reviews, quality management requirements and applicable factory compliance activities.
  • Coordinate routine administrative interfaces with local service providers and internal support functions, while maintaining clear records and approvals.
  • Provide structured tracking support for factory improvement, sustainability, digitalization and infrastructure initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's of technology in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electronics or Bachelor’s in Operations, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
  • Typically 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing administration, production support, factory coordination or operations administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and digital collaboration tools.
  • Experience maintaining structured data, trackers, reports and controlled documentation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning ability, follow-up discipline and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working exposure to SAP or a comparable ERP environment.
  • Experience with production KPI reporting, Power BI or dashboard-based reporting.
