Manual Tester – Retail & POS Systems

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Work Model: Hybrid / Onsite
Contract Duration: Long-term Contract
Experience Required: 10+ Years

We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester with strong expertise in retail systems and POS environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating business workflows, ensuring application quality, and supporting successful delivery through detailed manual testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design and execute manual test cases based on business requirements
• 
  Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing
• 
  Validate retail workflows including billing, inventory, promotions, and transactions
• 
  Test POS systems including payments, refunds, receipts, and device interactions
• 
  Log, track, and manage defects through resolution
• 
  Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams
• 
  Prepare test scenarios, test data, and test documentation
• 
  Support quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle

Required Skills

• 
  Strong experience in Manual Testing
• 
  Experience with retail applications and POS systems
• 
  Good understanding of functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing
• 
  Experience with defect management and test management tools such as Jira or HP ALM
• 
  Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• 
  Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• 
  Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

• 
  Experience testing payment systems and transaction workflows
• 
  Exposure to device interaction testing
• 
  Knowledge of retail business processes and store operations

Experience

• 
  10+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA
• 
  Prior experience in Retail or POS domain is highly preferred
