Job Description

Hello! We are Volotea, the airline of small and mid-sized cities in Europe.

As an Aircraft Maintenance Control Engineer, you will monitor the real-time technical status of aircraft and support flight crews with troubleshooting and operational decision-making. You will coordinate maintenance actions across our network, manage AOG recovery situations, and follow up on deferred defects to maintain high levels of fleet reliability and dispatch performance.

This role operates within the airline’s 24/7 operational environment, where quick thinking, technical expertise, and strong communication are essential to keep aircraft flying safely and efficiently.

How will it be to work with us?
  • Monitor the real-time technical status of the fleet and communicate operational limitations when required.

  • Provide technical support to flight crews, assisting with troubleshooting and operational decision-making.

  • Coordinate AOG recovery actions, including fault isolation, parts requests, and maintenance support.

  • Manage and follow up on deferred defects (MEL/CDL) to ensure timely rectification.

  • Coordinate maintenance activities with line maintenance providers and Part-145 organizations across the network.

  • Ensure all maintenance actions meet safety, regulatory, and company standards

  • Supervise and follow up on technical events impacting aircraft dispatch reliability.

  • Support the preparation of daily work packages and scheduled maintenance activities when required.

  • Represent Volotea during non-routine maintenance situations, ensuring quality and operational efficiency.

What will make you succeed in this position:

  • Bacherlor's or Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering

  • Previous experience in airline maintenance operations, Maintenance Control Center (MCC), or aircraft line maintenance

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and make decisions under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English
