As a Procurement Manager, you will have the responsibility to manage a group of suppliers from PO placement through order delivery work, ensuring that product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost

What You Will Do

  • Execute buyer standard work to manage a group of suppliers, usingappropriate systemsand tools to place demand, confirm commits and ensuring on time delivery
  • Process and maintain RFQs, purchase orders and portal activities for suppliers
  • Analyze andmonitorcontract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage the supplier relationship and improvement activities, looking for trends and managing supplier risks, using procurement tools
  • Review critical shortages with stakeholders and work with suppliers to improve deliveries, follow up on actions to effectively close gaps
  • Work with suppliers to create a Line of Balance (LOB) and WIP Tracker toindicatepart recovery status as needed
  • Analyze root causes to lead resolution to a permanent fix that will mitigate a repeat of overdue deliveries
  • Drive delivery improvement plans such as overdue reduction, and buffer compliance
  • Work with BU to Eliminate risks and roadblocks suchas outstanding SRIs, CADs, and FAIs that prevent suppliers from meeting performance targets, and escalate as needed
  • Take initiative in leading alternate solutions to resolve operational challenges
  • Work cross-functionally on projects in support of procurement.
  • Utilize project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum8years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum5years of experience orin absence of a degree,12years of relevant experience 
  • Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in both spoken and written English.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Aerospace electronics procurement experience
  • A general understanding of Aerospace drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience developing supplier relationships
  • Knowledge of supply chain management in the Aerospace organization
  • Knowledge of export regulations and policies to ensure 100% export compliance
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
  • Experience with data management
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with SAP
