Job Description

At Bosch, we shape the future by inventing high-quality technologies and services that spark enthusiasm and enrich people’s lives. Our promise to our associates is rock-solid: we grow together, we enjoy our work, and we inspire each other. Join in and feel the difference.

In the eBike Systems business unit, we develop innovative products and services that make eBiking even more fascinating - from highly efficient drive systems over the first series-produced ABS for pedelecs to smart connectivity solutions. For sustainable mobility that's fun.

The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application!

As an intern in UX/UI Design with a strong focus on interactive prototyping, you will support the design and development of intuitive user interfaces for connected products, with a particular emphasis on eBike user interfaces and displays. You will work hands-on on real product features – from early UX flows to interactive high‑fidelity prototypes and help translate ideas and requirements into tangible, testable user experiences. The role combines UX/UI design with practical implementation and close collaboration with other designers, engineers, product experts and developers.

  • During your internship you will create UX flows, wireframes and high‑fidelity UI designs and align them with stakeholders.
  • Interactive prototyping (ProtoPie) will be a core task to validate concepts, interactions and user flows.
  • UI design and adaptations in Figma, including work within an existing design system also falls within your area of responsibility.
  • You will maintain and further develop the design system and UI components, including documentation and ensure accessible UI design.
  • In the project context (e.g. concept validation, usability feedback) you will conduct research tasks.
  • To enhance interactivity and user understanding you will implement and refine UI/UX elements.
  • Furthermore, you will also handle practical development tasks, proactively support the user testing and iteration process, and help organize and coordinate meetings.

Qualifications

  • Education: studies in the field of Design, Human-Computer Interaction or comparable
  • Experience and Knowledge: familiarity with interaction design principles, UI design, and prototyping; experience with design tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, or similar software; knowledge of natural user interfaces and multimodal experiences is a plus
  • Personality and Working Practice: you excel at combining a creative yet structured and reliable approach with strong, communicative teamwork to achieve user-focused design excellence
  • Work Routine: your on-site presence is required
  • Languages: good in English

Additional Information

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months (confirmation of mandatory internship required)
