Position Purpose

Managing Veterinarian Opportunity at Paradise Animal Hospital

Augusta, Georgia Up to $50,000 sign-on-bonus!

Paradise Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to step into a Managing Veterinarian role at our established small animal practice in Augusta, Georgia. This position is designed for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing quality medicine while also leading a team, influencing day-to-day operations, and having a real voice in how the practice delivers care. Prior MDVM experience is not required—this role offers the support and structure needed to succeed in leadership.

Essential Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership and oversight for the practice

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat companion animals

  • Perform surgical procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate

  • Utilize diagnostic tools and interpret laboratory and imaging results

  • Guide and support veterinarians, technicians, and support staff

  • DVM will foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment

  • Advise pet owners on preventive care, treatment options, and end-of-life decisions

  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations and standards

  • Ensure adherence to veterinary ethics, policies, and applicable laws

Requirements/Qualifications

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an AVMA-accredited program
  • Active (or eligible for) veterinary licensure in the state of Georgia
  • Minimum of 3 years of small animal clinical experience
  • Interest in or readiness for a Managing Veterinarian (MDVM) role
  • Leadership experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
