Responsibilities
Lead data modernization, transformation and architecture strategy for Global Risk and global risk.
Direct data owners, data users, data support managers and technology teams to unify data through modern data management techniques and solutions.
Architect scalable data ecosystem to aid quantitative model development using emerging data strategies and latest technologies such as data lakes, data mesh, data fabric, NoSQL and data virtualization.
Design and develop Linked Data structures including Knowledge Graphs, Ontologies and Vocabularies to quickly discover, transform and link complex datasets for data science/machine learning algorithms and quantitative models.
Develop and validate feature stores, quantitative analytics and models for specific business units or risk types.
Direct activities to support business units and act as a subject matter expert on specified quantitative analytics and modeling techniques.
Serve as the first or second line of defense overseeing model performance, model risk, and model governance on critical portfolios.
Partner across GRM, Control Functions, and Front-Line Unit stakeholder teams to evaluate the current data ecosystem; define the vision; drive development of their data strategies and roadmaps for data capture, transformation, transport, and use; and define core KPIs for measuring progress of data strategy, including data quality related to assessing and remediating risk.
Drive strong partnerships across the organization to fully understand business goals and link them to data needs.
Collaborate closely with enterprise and Front-Line Units, ensuring that the right strategy and processes are in place to meet strategic data objectives while addressing immediate operating priorities, business impacts, mitigation strategies, and escalation protocols.
Synthesize existing data governance principles, policies, practices and industry standards to influence development of best practices across the enterprise.
Drive enforcement of data governance through design and development of best-in-class metadata, lineage and data quality tools.
Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience
Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering (Any), or related: and
7 years of experience in the job offered or a related Quantitative occupation.
Must include 7 years of experience in each of the following:
Architecting end to end data ecosystems from operational data stores to data lakes and data warehouses using emerging data strategies and design patterns including microservices, data mesh, data fabric and data virtualization;
Designing and developing data management and governance solutions using Collibra and open-source frameworks including Apache Atlas, and Datahub;
Architecting analytics platforms using big data technologies including Hadoop, Object Stores, Spark, NoSQL, and public cloud services;
Building Vocabularies, Ontologies, and Knowledge Graphs for quantitative analytics and modeling using linked data triples, graph processing frameworks, and graph stores including Neo4J, DSE Graph, and Tiger Graph;
Developing feature engineering models and feature stores for performing quantitative modeling including predictive modeling and Machine Learning; and,
Designing data aggregation and reporting solutions using Python, Spark, SQL, Tableau to handle large volumes of data produced by complex quantitative models.
