MISSION
In line with the Maison’s long-term strategy and as a key member of the Regional Executive Committee, the Managing Director at Cartier will be responsible for developing the overall strategic direction, brand equity, business growth, and financial performance of the Northern Europe.

As a real Ambassador and fully embodying Cartier values, the incumbent will craft a robust brand desirability plan, overseeing its 360° execution, and building a high-performing team across a wide, and decentralized market.


Acting as an inspiring leader, the Managing Director will boost brand visibility and network performance by leading local investments, attract and foster local clientele engagement and centricity to achieve sustainable and profitable market action plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


- Market Leadership: Set and implement a market focused growth plan, consistent with Maison’s global strategies and regional adaptation. Champion cross markets/functions collaboration to drive synergies. Cultivate a performance-driven, forward-thinking, and client-centric culture, embedding a collegial mindset for effective ways of working to anticipate/foresee agility and responsiveness to the evolving Luxury landscape.

- Network Strategy: Define and develop the Maison omnichannel strategy taking into account Retail network priorities and Specialists strategy, ensuring profitability and developing local/international clientele. Ensure operational alignment across Boutiques, E-Commerce and External Partners with the market action plan. Optimize retail performance and profitability by taking qualitative and impactful decisions.

- Brand & Client Strategy: Oversee implementation and deployment of Marketing, Communication strategies to enhance brand positioning and visibility, leveraging clienteling and digital tools while safeguarding brand integrity. Advance digital maturity by leveraging omnichannel insights and rolling out global and regional initiatives.

- People Management: Build, lead, develop and retain a high-performing and diverse team across functions to enable a culture of belonging. Inspire around a shared purpose and foster excellence, innovation, and client centricity. Build local talent strategy to ensure strong succession planning and position Cartier as an Employer of Choice.


- Financial Performance: Manage full responsibility of P&L, Inventory, CAPEX, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and other financial initiatives for sustainable growth and profitability to reach expected targets.

- Market Representation: Cultivate high-impact initiatives to enhance local resonance and long-term brand equity. Serve as a Brand Ambassador by building a strong local network and managing local key public and/or private key stakeholders with elegance to anticipate reputational risks.

Number of boutiques / POS: 7 Internal Boutiques in Germany, Austria and Czech Republic, 1 external Boutique and 60 doors with external partners across Northern and Eastern Europe.

PROFILE
• Minimum 20+ years of proven leadership experience as a Managing Director, or equivalent in luxury, lifestyle or client-related business demonstrating a sustainable track record in 360 brand development & market expansion
• Deep knowledge of the luxury market dynamics, consumer behavior and trends in Luxury Retail or similar
