We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Managing Director for the APAC region to lead and grow our operations across South-East Asia and Oceania.
This role will be based in Bangkok and reports to the Senior Vice President, International Market. It will oversee a diverse team of approximately 100 employees across six countries.
The Managing Director will have full P&L responsibility and will be accountable for driving commercial growth across our Food, Water, Labs, and Life Sciences divisions.
Operating within a matrix organization, the successful candidate will work closely with divisional Vice Presidents located at our Global Headquarters in Ann Arbor, ensuring alignment with global strategies while tailoring execution to regional market dynamics.
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the regional strategy to drive sustainable growth across all business divisions.
P&L Ownership: Manage the full profit and loss for the APAC region, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
Commercial Growth: Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand our footprint in Food, Water, Labs, and Life Sciences sectors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align regional initiatives with global divisional strategies through close collaboration with VPs in Ann Arbor.
Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient and compliant operations across all countries in the region.
Team Leadership: Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and inclusion.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior leadership role within a multinational, matrixed organization.
Strong track record of managing P&L and delivering commercial growth in the APAC region.
Deep understanding of the Food, Water, Labs, or Life Sciences industries.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence across functions and geographies.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel across the region as needed.
