What You Will Do

As a Managing Consultant within our Federal Health practice, you will help federal agencies tackle complex strategic, operational, and organizational challenges. Working alongside senior government leaders, you will drive transformational initiatives that strengthen mission delivery, improve organizational effectiveness, and advance critical health programs.

We are seeking individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, embrace ambiguity, and are energized by the opportunity to build, lead, and create meaningful impact. Successful candidates are self-starters who take ownership of outcomes, proactively identify opportunities, and drive initiatives from concept through implementation.

In this role, you will serve as both a trusted advisor to clients and a leader within our practice. You will shape strategy, guide teams, develop future leaders, and help clients navigate complex challenges while delivering measurable results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategy, transformation, organizational effectiveness, and program modernization initiatives for federal health clients.

  • Driving high-impact workstreams from vision through execution, helping clients translate priorities into actionable outcomes.

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and helping leaders navigate ambiguity, organizational change, and evolving priorities.

  • Developing strategic recommendations, transformation roadmaps, governance structures, and implementation approaches that enable lasting organizational impact.

  • Facilitating executive workshops, strategic planning sessions, leadership meetings, and stakeholder engagements.

  • Developing executive-level communications, presentations, decision materials, and briefing packages for senior government leaders.

  • Leading and mentoring teams while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

  • Contributing to practice growth through business development, proposal support, thought leadership, and internal initiatives.

  • Identifying opportunities to create additional value for clients and proactively bringing innovative ideas and solutions forward.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • 6+ years of professional experience supporting federal agencies, healthcare organizations, consulting firms, or related organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience leading strategy, transformation, organizational change, program management, operational improvement, or modernization initiatives.

  • Proven ability to independently lead workstreams, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.

  • Strong executive presence and experience interacting with senior government leaders and stakeholders.

  • Experience creating executive-level presentations, strategic communications, briefing materials, and client deliverables.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and create alignment in complex environments.

  • Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing junior team members.

  • Strong desire for continuous learning, professional growth, and increasing leadership responsibility.

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (i.e. US citizenship required)

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Experience supporting federal health agencies such as HHS, CMS, FDA, CDC, NIH, HRSA, VA, DHA, or related organizations.

  • Experience supporting federal acquisition, budget, finance, or resource management functions, including acquisition strategy, procurement support, budget formulation and execution, portfolio management, investment planning, or financial analysis.

  • Experience supporting program transformation, operations improvement, digital modernization, organizational change, or strategic planning initiatives.

  • Experience leading enterprise transformation, governance, operating model design, organizational effectiveness, or change management efforts.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience supporting business development, capture, proposal development, or client growth initiatives.
