Job Description
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 8-14 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
- 3+ years in a consulting engagement lead, managing consultant, or equivalent role within a consulting firm, systems integrator, or technology services company
- Demonstrated track record of leading and delivering complex consulting or transformation engagements ($5M-$25M) in the CPG space
- Hands-on experience across at least two of the following CPG functional areas:
- Supply Chain Planning & Execution (S&OP/IBP, demand planning, logistics)
- Revenue Growth Management (pricing, trade promotion, mix optimization)
- Digital Commerce & Direct-to-Consumer
- Consumer Data & Analytics (CDP, consumer insights, marketing analytics)
- Manufacturing & Quality (MES, Industry 4.0, smart factory)
- Finance Transformation (FP&A, cost-to-serve, shared services)
- Enterprise Platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, cloud migration)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at the director-to-VP level
- Proven engagement management capabilities including scope management, financial tracking, risk mitigation, and team leadership
- Ability to translate complex business requirements and technology capabilities into clear, actionable recommendations
- Solid understanding of CPG operating models, KPIs, and value drivers (e.g., market share, trade spend ROI, fill rate, forecast accuracy, cost-to-serve, NPS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, hypothesis-driven approach
- Experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed delivery teams
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and adapting to evolving client needs
- Strong workshop facilitation and presentation skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Relevant industry or technology certifications are a plus (e.g., APICS/ASCM, PMP, SAFe, cloud certifications, Six Sigma)
