We are looking for a Managing Clerk to join the Managing Attorney's Office in the New York office as a risk-management and litigation-operations resource. The role supports attorneys across practice groups by helping ensure timely, accurate, and compliant filings; consistent litigation workflow; and adherence to court and agency requirements and deadlines. The position reports to the Managing Attorney. The role is based in the New York City office and primarily supports NYC matters, with flexibility to assist other offices as operational needs require.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support litigation workflows across practice groups by reviewing, processing, and coordinating litigation-related documents.
Prepare routine notices and complete standard court and agency forms using approved templates and procedures.
Coordinate and execute service of documents, includingservice of process, andmaintainrelated records.
Complete e-filing acrossjurisdictionsand coordinate in-person/physical filings whererequired
Communicate with court clerks and court staff as needed tofacilitatefilings, obtain procedural information, and resolve administrative issues.
Request apostilles and certifications; obtain court documents, orders, and filed-stamped copies from courts and agencies.
Helpmaintainattorneye-filing accounts and related system requirements (credentials, registration updates, and access needs).
Provide procedural support for attorney appearances, including pro hac vice admissions.
Partner with paralegals and Legal Practice Assistants to coordinate litigation and administrative tasks across practice groups.
Support attorney onboarding/offboarding related to litigation systems and procedural compliance (documentation, access, and process guidance).
Docket court dates and deadlines in the firm’s docketing system and support deadline tracking as part of the MAO’s risk-management function.
Apply working knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, New York CPLR, and applicable local rules to promoteaccurate,timely, and compliant litigation operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’sdegreerequired
5+ years of experience in litigation support, court filings, and service processes (law firm or legal department environment preferred).
Working knowledge of federal and New York state court procedures, including FRCP, CPLR, and local rules.
Strong attention to detail; ability to manage deadlines andmaintainaccuraterecords in a high-volume environment.
Ability to communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, and court personnel.
Ability to work across multiple practice groups and shift priorities based on operational needs.
Proficiencywith e-filing systems and docketing workflows; ability to learn firm systems quickly.
Working knowledge of federal and New York state court procedures, including FRCP, CPLR, and local rules.
Strong attention to detail; able to manage deadlines andmaintainaccuraterecords in a high-volume environment.
Ability to communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, and court personnel.

Pay Transparency Range:
$135,000-$155,000
The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
