[What the role is]

We are looking for strong and dynamic candidates to be part of the ICT Infrastructure team in CAAS’ Transformation Office. Together, you will modernise CAAS ICT infrastructure and manage day-to-day operations to ensure high availability, performance, resiliency and security for CAAS’ cloud systems.

[What you will be working on]

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy and Operations

• Lead cloud infrastructure strategy, execution and operations
• Responsible for day-to-day ICT infrastructure operations to achieve high availability, performance, resiliency and security for CAAS cloud systems
• Ensure continued compliance of ICT infrastructure with Government IM8 and CAAS ICT policies and requirements
• Advise CAAS IT application developers/vendors on ICT cloud infrastructure requirements during development of new CAAS IT application systems
• Review and optimise ICT cloud operations delivery and process

Vendor and Project Management

• Drive the end-to-end, effective and timely implementation of ICT cloud infrastructure projects, including procurement and vendor management
• Guide and manage a team of outsourced engineers to deliver operational excellence
• Negotiate and manage service level agreements and contracts
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives

[What we are looking for]

Requirements

• Trained in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in cloud Infrastructure roles with in-depth hands-on knowledge of cloud infrastructure implementation and operations
• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale cloud environments
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture and technologies including AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• Strong track record in project and vendor management relating to cloud Infrastructure

• Strategic thinking with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Candidates with the following will be at an added advantage:

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Azure Solutions Architect expert
• Familiarity with Singapore Government procurement processes
• Experience with Government IM8 requirements and standards

Note: Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work

experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
