We’re seeking expressions of interest for a Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager and Program Educators to help deliver our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services at Moorooka In these roles, you’ll play a critical part in delivering high-quality, values-driven services that support children, families, and communities while building a positive team culture.

About the Role

As Educators/Managers, you will:

  • Create fun, safe and meaningful experiences for children in line with Jabiru’s philosophy and the My Time, Our Place Framework
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, colleagues and school partners
  • Support children’s wellbeing, inclusion and voice through play-based learning
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful team culture where collaboration is valued
  • Follow policies, procedures and compliance requirements to ensure child safety and quality outcomes

About You

You are someone who genuinely enjoys working with school-aged children and understands the important role OSHC plays in their day. You communicate with care and clarity, building positive relationships with children, families and your teammates. You work well as part of a collaborative team, valuing different perspectives and contributing to a respectful, supportive culture.

You bring curiosity and openness to your practice, with a willingness to learn, reflect and grow. Above all, you act with integrity, reliability and a strong commitment to keeping children safe and supported.

What You’ll Need

  • Certificate III in School Age/Early Childhood Education/Education Support/Youth Work or other equivalent qualification as recognised by ACECQA
  • Other equivalent qualifications include: Completion of greater than 1 year of full time University studies in: Education, Creative Arts, Drama, Music, Community Services, Behavioural Science, Nursing, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Sport & Recreation
  • Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
  • First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
