Job Description

About the role

The Managerial Skill Development Specialist will manage a portfolio of learning initiatives that build future-ready management skills across the organization. This role reports to the Manager Skills Lead and collaborates with stakeholders across functions to design and implement scalable learning solutions that deliver on both development and business strategies.

The role requires strong project ownership, creativity in learning design, and the ability to deliver innovative learning experiences that energize participants and engage them in developing their personal leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Learning Partnership

  • Serve as a primary learning partner to assigned business units, building trusted relationships to understand business priorities, skill gaps, and performance needs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HRBPs, Talent, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader talent and leadership initiatives.
  • Evolve and execute on manager skills strategy to support learners in leading within an AI-enabled operating environment.

Manager Essentials Program Ownership

  • Assume day-to-day ownership of the Manager Essentials Program for new and frontline managers.
  • Set and evolve the overall content strategy for the program, ensuring it reflects enterprise leadership expectations, core skills, and real-world manager challenges.
  • Continuously assess program effectiveness using feedback, participation data, and business input; iterate content and delivery to drive impact.

Design and Delivery

  • Design, curate, and create learning content across modalities (e.g., live sessions, facilitator guides and reinforcement tools).
  • Provide ongoing cohort support and reinforcement, including manager toolkits, nudges, discussion prompts, and follow‑up learning moments.
  • Facilitate high-impact learning experiences to engage participants, drive behavior change, and reinforce application of management skills in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience acting as a learning partner or consultant to business leaders—able to influence, challenge, and co-create rather than simply deliver training.
  • Proven experience owning and evolving a manager or leadership development program, ideally for new or frontline managers.
  • 4+ years of experience in learning and development, talent development, or program management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Passion for helping employees at all levels grow and succeed through practical and accessible development.
  • Comfort executing in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and adapting to direction while owning independent workstreams.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

For positions based in NJ, the base salary range is $110,000 to $128,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
