Job Description

This role oversees the entire warehouse operations for the assigned scope, manage and review warehouse operational policies, standards and procedures including the implementation of warehousing solutions, in accordance to warehousing business and customers’ needs. Review and lead continuous improvements to operational efficiencies while maintaining a safe and supportive work environment and ensuring full compliance to the local regulatory requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will need to manage resources and obtain buy-in among internal and external stakeholders.

Operations Management
- Oversee daily activities; including quality control, inventory control, optimize space utilization, logistics, floor productivity etc.
- Determine priorities and logistics/equipment required for incoming and outgoing resources.
- Review and finalize workflows, manage staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods etc.
- Oversee general maintenance and conduct inspections around the warehouse regularly.
- Analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
- Manage and resolve all escalated issues timely; highlight critical or crossgeographies issues to higher level for overall resolutions.
- Ensure Business Continuity Plan are in place and evaluated for effectiveness periodically.

Operational Compliance
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
- Ensure all staff completes the necessary safety related training and refresher courses.
- Report all work-related injuries to Manager immediately; ensure immediate medical attention is seek, prepare and file statutory reports.
- Manage compliance rate; drive behavioral change to address non-compliance of workplace safety standards.

Continuous Improvement
- Implement, maintain and drive company processes, procedures and best practices.
- Identify service gaps and areas for improvement.
- Engage in infrastructure planning, sustainability, digital transformation projects as required.
- Formulate mitigating actions or contingency plans for risks associated with process changes.
- Review business processes improvement solutions to determine effectiveness.
- Review warehouse strategy for alignment across different LOBs and/or geographies (i.e. sub-region/regional levels).
- Participate in organizational discussion on adoption of the latest technology innovations and drive the successful completion of technology projects.
- Review the effectiveness of implementing technology enablers on organizational operations and staff performance and productivity.

Stakeholder Management
- Manage and oversee client rosters to ensure quality of care and services are achieved.
- Ensure excellence in client service delivery.
- Manage client service feedback and ensure feedback process is addressed.
- Build strong relationships with various stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers/vendors - 2PLs/3PLs/4PLs, cross-functions/teams).
- Review and manage new contracts and renewals with suppliers; negotiate for better rates; review service level of suppliers.
- Engage local vendors/suppliers/stakeholders to seek solutions to add value to customers.

Leadership and Direction
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the department.
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of coordinators.
- Plan schedules, assign and delegate work to team members to meet deadlines and ensure timely clearance of shipments.
- Provide performance feedback and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Prepare reports for local/regional Management/Senior Leadership team.
- Prioritize “Safety Above All”, by cultivating a proactive, safety-focused working environment.
- Empowers team members to create the innovative solutions for our customers.
- Ensure compliance to local regulatory requirements, including OT hours and payments and safety related compliances. This includes the management of contingent workforce engaged where appropriate.

Financials
- Responsible for investigating stock discrepancies, including negatives, unfound and sold out etc. This includes conducting period and ad-hoc cycle counts to ensure the stocks are accuracy; report to Finance immediately for stock discrepancies and put in place measures to reduce stock loss.
- Support Manager in the annual budgeting exercise.
- Liaise with auditors and ensure all outstanding audit issues are cleared timely.
- Manage the department's budget; monitor expenses and revenues and ensure that the department meets financial targets. This includes regular period review with relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that pricing is competitive and that the department is profitable.
- Upholds and enforces the Company’s financial standards and policies.

General Education
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level in Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution, Warehouse Management or related field.

General Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management or related field.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management and operations, including equipment and its proper use and maintenance.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good analytical skills and attention to details.
- Able to understand and interpret financials numbers.


Managerial Experience
Minimum 6 years of supervisory experience and managing a team of 20 to 30 persons (i.e. direct + indirect).
