About The Opportunity

Manage all aspects of the warehouse (on-site and off-site) including inventory control and distribution, to ensure proper inventory levels and timely shipments of customer orders.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Oversee salaried shift supervisors on three shifts

2. Lead the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department.

3. Assist in managing inventory control programs across all material types to ensure accurate inventory and drive inventory reductions.

4. Oversee the shipping and receiving functions to optimize flow while facilitating a working warehouse and off-site warehouse, when applicable.

5. Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification

Level Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Level Desired: Bachelor’s Degree

APICS CPIM

Work Experience

Required: 5-10 years of relevant work experience

Desired: 2-5 years of experience in leadership

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Ability to handle the stress of working with others

2. Ability to be available outside of normal work hours

3. Ability to cover supervisory absenteeism/position vacancy on any shift as needed

4. Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others

5. Ability to lead by example

6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles

7. Ability to use and influence organizational policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing practices

8. Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components

9. Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the warehouse

10. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, vendors, peers and subordinates

11. Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site
