At CVS Health®, you’ll be surrounded by passionate colleagues who care deeply, innovate with purpose, hold ourselves accountable and prioritize safety and quality in everything we do. Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.

Position Summary

Turn complex data into decisions that drive accurate, timely capitation payments. Join the Capitation Center of Excellence in a high-impact role where your analytical expertise and cross-functional partnership will improve payment accuracy, strengthen processes, and support critical financial outcomes.

The Capitation Center of Excellence (COE) oversees and administers monthly capitation payment submissions and processing, helps ensure accurate and timely results, and provides leadership with information needed to support monthly general ledger close activities. This role partners with Network, Accounting, Finance, Product and Benefits, technology teams, the capitation system vendor, and other stakeholders to execute capitation cycles, analyze payment results, and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and monitor monthly capitation production cycles.
  • Analyze large data sets to identify payment errors, variances, and drivers of change.
  • Determine root causes and communicate findings and recommend actions to internal teams and, when appropriate, external providers.
  • Participate in technical troubleshooting with programmers who support the capitation platform.
  • Develop reports, tools, and process improvements for team and management use.

This role requires strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The individual must be proficient in using GCP to extract data and use Excel to summarize, perform analysis using pivot tables, formulas, and lookup functions. Strong collaboration, communication, presentation, and follow-through skills are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience directly related to the responsibilities of the role, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-management, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project leadership, critical-thinking, and data-analysis capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated experience developing tools and implementing process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of capitation processes and related payment, contract, or configuration systems, including EPDB, SCM, and ACAS.
  • Knowledge of SQL and other analytical and development tools a plus.
