Job Category: Admin - ClericalThe Manager, Utilization Management Intake Operations, is responsible for overseeing non-clinical intake and administrative support functions for the Utilization Management (UM) Department. This role provides leadership, operational oversight, and performance management for intake staff who serve as the first point of contact for UM requests.
The Manager ensures that intake workflows operate efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with organizational service standards, regulatory requirements, and UM operational goals. While this position does not perform clinical determinations, it exercises independent judgment in managing resources, performance, quality, and process improvement across intake operations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing call center, intake, or high-volume administrative operations
- Demonstrated experience overseeing staff in a metric-driven environment
- Strong working knowledge of call center operations, fax workflows, and intake systems
- Proven ability to analyze performance data and implement operational improvements
Preferred

Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, managed care, utilization management, or prior authorization operations
- Familiarity with UM platforms and healthcare regulatory environments
- Prior experience supporting audits or compliance reviews
