We’re looking for an experienced professional to join IWPB Risk Management as a Manager, Unsecured Policy Analyst, supporting sustainable growth across unsecured lending through strong acquisition policy design and portfolio performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and enhance credit acquisition policies for unsecured lending to support receivables growth while managing credit losses.
  • Design and implement credit tests and acquisition strategies (e.g., scorecard cut-offs, policy rules), partnering closely with Business, Risk, Credit Policy, and Operations.
  • Ensure policies and risk strategies comply with local regulations and align with HSBC standards and governance requirements.
  • Embed new and updated policies into Credit Operations through clear procedures, training, and ongoing engagement to drive consistent execution.
  • Monitor and share portfolio insights with stakeholders, including approval rates, delinquency trends, and overall portfolio quality, and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Support credit policy governance activities, including policy reviews, approvals, and audits, to maintain strong end-to-end credit controls.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics/Statistics, Data Science, Risk Management, or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in consumer lending credit risk, ideally in unsecured lending (acquisition policy, underwriting strategy, or portfolio risk).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end credit processes, including underwriting, operational implementation, and portfolio monitoring (delinquency/NPL/loss metrics).
  • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and internal credit policy/governance standards.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations.

Preferrable

  • Hands-on analytical skills using tools such as Excel, SQL, SAS/R/Python, and/or BI tools.
  • Experience delivering training or facilitating workshops to embed policy and drive continuous improvement
