Manager, UI Engineering (Angular)

📍 Location: Hyderabad 🏢 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Manager, UI Engineering (Angular) to lead and grow a high-performing Angular team responsible for building scalable, high-quality user interfaces. This role blends people leadership, technical direction, and delivery ownership — working closely with Product and Engineering leaders to deliver impactful customer experiences. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Angular developers and UI QA engineers, supporting hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Own delivery of high-quality, scalable UI solutions aligned to the product vision and roadmap.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, UX, and backend teams to translate requirements into well-architected UI solutions.
• Guide teams in Angular best practices, performance optimization, and maintainable architecture.
• Ensure consistent adoption of Agile/Scrum practices, proactively identifying risks, removing blockers, and serving as an escalation point when needed.
• Drive a strong engineering culture focused on quality, security, and continuous improvement, while contributing to departmental planning, metrics, and budget responsibility.

Role Essentials

• 12+ years of overall software engineering experience, with a strong hands-on background in Angular and modern UI engineering practices
• Proven experience managing UI/frontend engineering teams
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices, SDLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional product teams alongside Product Managers, UX designers, and backend engineers.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align across teams.

What We'd Like to See

• Experience with UI QA engineering practices and quality assurance frameworks.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for large-scale Angular applications.
• Experience contributing to departmental planning and budget ownership
• Track record of driving engineering culture improvements at scale.
• Exposure to modern UX design principles and cross-functional product development practices.
