The Engineering Manager – Ecom Applications will lead Android and iOS engineering teams responsible for developing and evolving Williams-Sonoma’s mobile commerce platforms. This role blends strong people leadership with hands-on technical engagement and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, customer-centric mobile experiences. The manager is accountable for team health, technical excellence, delivery outcomes, and alignment with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing iOS and Android engineering teams
Drive execution of mobile product roadmaps aligned with business and customer priorities
Guide architectural decisions, platform modernization, and technical debt management
Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, security, and scalability
Provide technical direction across Swift and Kotlin-based mobile platforms
Remain hands-on through coding, code reviews, design reviews, and problem-solving
Own delivery outcomes across discovery, shopping, checkout, and post-purchase flows
Partner with Product Management to translate business goals into technical plans and roadmaps
Oversee release planning, production readiness, and incident management
Collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, QA, Analytics, and Release teams
Champion AI-enabled development, testing, quality, and performance optimization practices
Drive initiatives for performance optimization, crash reduction, and stability metrics
Ensure accessibility, localization, experimentation, and analytics best practices
Lead Agile ceremonies and continuously improve engineering processes and CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
10+ years of professional software engineering experience
3+ years of experience managing mobile engineering teams
Strong technical background in iOS and/or Android development
Experience with modern mobile architectures such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modular design
Proven track record delivering large-scale consumer or e-commerce mobile applications
Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Hands-on experience with Swift, Kotlin, SwiftUI, UIKit, Jetpack, or Compose
Background in e-commerce, omnichannel retail, or high-transaction platforms
Experience with analytics, experimentation, feature flags, and A/B testing
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and mobile observability tools
Experience supporting applications with millions of users
