About The Role

The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth of Cummins Aftermarket business in Northern Vietnam through the sales of genuine spare parts, repair solutions, maintenance contracts, lubricants, filtration products, and value-added aftermarket services. This role combines technical sales, key account management, business development, and cross-functional collaboration with Engine, Power Generation, Service, and dealer partners to deliver sustainable business growth. Although this role has no direct reports, the successful candidate is expected to demonstrate leadership potential and grow into a future leadership role within the Aftermarket organization.

What You Will Deliver

General Responsibilities:

• Develop new business opportunities across Marine, Power Generation, Mining, Construction, Oil & Gas, Defense and Industrial segments.
• Expand relationships with OEMs, dealers, contractors and end-users.
• Identify strategic growth opportunities and execute account plans.
• Build long-term customer relationships.
• Promote Cummins Genuine Parts, Repairs, Maintenance Contracts, Lubricants and Filtration products.
• Prepare quotations and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate contracts according to company policy.
• Deliver Sales and Gross Margin targets.
• Manage sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM.
• Follow up on payment collection together with Finance.
• Conduct customer visits, technical discussions and site surveys.
• Understand customer operations and maintenance strategies.
• Recommend value-based aftermarket solutions.
• Coordinate internal resources to ensure customer satisfaction.

Leadership responsibilities
• No direct reports.
• Lead customer engagement independently.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns when required.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrate leadership capability as a future successor for the AFM organization.

What You Bring

Functional skills and knowledge:
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, rotating equipment and heavy-duty machinery.
• Knowledge of Cummins engines is highly preferred. • Good understanding of Aftermarket business, maintenance strategy and lifecycle support.
• Experience with CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ERP systems.
• Ability to analyze customer needs and provide value-based solutions.
• Commercial negotiation and business development skills.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent.

Work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Sales, Service Sales or Aftermarket business.
• Experience in Marine, Power Generation, Mining, Construction, Oil & Gas or Heavy Equipment industries is preferred.
• Previous experience with Cummins or other premium engine OEMs is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience managing key accounts and developing strategic customers.
