Responsible for developing, leading, and executing the Company's employment brand and talent acquisition strategy. Partners with the business, hiring managers, and human resources to meet workforce demand for Airbus U.S. Space & Defense in a timely manner. Manages a team of Talent Acquisition Partners. Directs team to work with management to ensure that job specifications are clear, accepted and approved by management and Human Resources. Develops and maintains talent acquisition policies and procedures. Accountable for compliance of talent acquisition policies and procedures to employment laws and regulations. May handle executive or other critical projects personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision of HR management, develops and leads execution of Company's employment brand and talent acquisition strategy.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders (e.g. HR, hiring managers, leadership, etc.) to develop, deploy, and maintain talent acquisition policy and procedures for Airbus U.S. Space & Defense.
  • Partners with key stakeholders (e.g. HR, hiring managers, leadership, communications etc.) to devise and deploy Airbus U.S. Space & Defense's employee value proposition.
  • Analyzes and interprets HR and talent metrics to articulate the current talent situation and provides viable recommendations for next steps.
  • Hires, trains, develops, and enables optimal productivity of Talent Acquisition team members.
  • Works closely with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to define recruitment needs and plan the hiring process.
  • Personally manages requisitions by partnering with hiring managers and HR to source, screen, select, and onboard candidates.
  • Assigns requisitions to team members and follows up regularly on progress.
  • Seeks to understand obstacles encountered by team members and facilitates remediation.
  • Ensures that all Talent Acquisition Partners, hiring managers, and other interviewers comply with Airbus U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity policy when interviewing and making selection decisions.
  • Tracks and analyzes recruitment KPIs (e.g., requisition to hire, cost per hire, source of hire, offer acceptance rate, hiring manager experience, candidate experience, sourcing channel cost, sourcing channel effectiveness, etc.). Recommends ways to improve results.
  • Provides market feedback to Compensation & Benefits leadership.
  • Seeks out opportunities to promote Airbus U.S. employment brand through job boards, job fairs, industry partnerships, campus visits, and social media.
  • May partner with external vendors for more complex staffing requisitions such as executives, highly technical positions, or highly sensitive, confidential searches.
  • May manage relationships with external recruitment/placement agencies, e.g. diversity hiring conferences, universities, etc.
  • Travel as needed for engagement with key stakeholders and talent acquisition events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or equivalent level of relevant experience.
  • Master's or MBA degree preferred.

Certification(s):

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or other certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Ten years of internal or agency recruiting experience required.
  • Three years of experience as team lead, supervisor, or manager in a recruiting function preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Strong desire to connect with people and provide a positive experience throughout recruitment process.
  • Ability to learn and accurately articulate details about Airbus U.S. as a business, job specifications, and EEO policy.
  • Ability to follow procedure and maintain process documentation.
  • Ability to handle heavy requisition load without sacrificing quality of interactions and outcomes.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with hiring managers.
  • Proficiency with social media methods and tools for promoting Airbus U.S. employment brand.
  • Ability to represent Airbus U.S. at public or campus employment events.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential or blind search projects.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with managers with special concerns.
  • Ability to negotiate rates and terms with external recruitment/placement agencies.
  • Ability to manage projects from start to completion meeting the project objectives within budget and schedule.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, job boards, and other tools of the trade.

Travel Required:

  • Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

Eligibility:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Clearance:

  • Eligble to obtain U.S. security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Carrying: able to carry documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
