The Manager, System Infrastructure is accountable for the strategic oversight, design, and ongoing operation of the organization’s system infrastructure platforms. This role leads the systems team to ensure the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of mission‑critical system environments, including on‑premises and cloud infrastructure. The position plays a key role in maintaining stable and resilient system services that support corporate IT operations and business functions across the Authority.
You will be responsible for:
leading and managing the organization’s cloud infrastructure operations, covering public and hybrid cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Alibaba Cloud, to ensure service availability, security, scalability, and cost‑effective operations;
defining, operating, and continuously improving cloud operating models, standards, and best practices, including capacity planning, performance optimisation, security hardening, and lifecycle management across cloud platforms;
overseeing and managing large‑scale system infrastructure and data centre operations, including server platforms, storage systems, operating systems, and configurations, supporting hybrid environments spanning on‑premises and cloud infrastructure;
managing, operating, and governing enterprise storage infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments, including SAN, NAS, object storage, and cloud‑native storage services, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and operational resilience;
managing and supporting core system platforms, including VMware vSphere, Windows Server platforms, virtual desktop environments, Active Directory, and related system services;
providing managerial leadership and hands‑on support for critical system infrastructure, including major incident handling, escalation management, root cause analysis, and service restoration activities;
conducting research on emerging cloud and system infrastructure technologies and providing professional recommendations to support technology roadmap development and continuous improvement;
ensuring quality IT service delivery for system and cloud platforms in accordance with defined service level agreements (SLA);
working closely with internal stakeholders to align cloud and system infrastructure services with business, operational, and security requirements;
managing procurement activities related to cloud and system infrastructure, including preparing technical specifications, proposals, and justifications, and collaborating with the procurement team to issue RFQs and tenders; and
performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.
You should:
possess Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline;
have at least 10 years of experience in IT operations, with 5+ years in a managerial or supervisory role;
have strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured, and well‑reasoned written documentation and proposals;
have strong experience in managing IT infrastructure, service delivery, and operational processes;
have relevant professional certifications in cloud platforms, virtualization and system infrastructure, and IT service management (e.g. Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, VMware VCP, ITIL) are preferred;
be excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
have strong communication and stakeholder management abilities; and
be excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Stretching across 40 hectares of reclaimed land, WestK is one of the largest cultural projects in the world, blending art, education and open space.
Its vision is to create a vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong where the local arts scene can interact, develop and collaborate. Providing 23 hectares of public open space with two kilometres of vibrant harbour-front promenade it will also include a variety of arts and cultural facilities that will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and arts and cultural events.
A Development Plan for the District, based on well-received Foster + Partner’s Conceptual Plan, was approved by the Chief Executive-in-Council in January 2013. Overlooking the magnificent Victoria Harbour, the District will begin to take shape over the next decade.
By developing this sizable project in phases we can start to bring the district to life. The Xiqu Centre, Freespace, Art Park, M+, Hong Kong Palace Museum and Lyric Theatre Complex, will be developed as a first batch of facilities aiming for opening to the public.
