Department Overview
This organization will be responsible for providing mobile services to corporate customers, and will be the only technical department within that department. With an understanding of corporate business, you will be responsible for planning, developing, maintaining, and managing vendors for both internal and external systems.
To become the No. 1 carrier, you will participate in the business as a core member in further expanding our business.
The Corporate Operations Section 2 carries out a wide range of tasks, including system development and maintenance, to support Rakuten Mobile's corporate business.
This is a rewarding job as you plan and develop systems and implement them on-site to ensure efficient operations while complying with laws, regulations, and rules.
Why We Hire
As Rakuten Mobile's mobile lines increase, the role of acquiring contracts for corporate mobile lines and solutions, which are the core of Rakuten Mobile, is becoming increasingly important. We are looking for an application engineer manager to develop and maintain systems for operations that support the corporate business.
Position Details
The Corporate Operations Section 2 primarily handles the following tasks. Within these, you will be responsible for promoting various projects and developing and maintaining currently operating systems.
1. Development and maintenance of external systems: SIM management systems for MVNEs/MVNOs
2. Development and maintenance of billing systems: Billing and billing systems for MVNEs/MVNOs
3. Administrative tasks: Outsourced management of system development, maintenance, and operation, including registering and updating customer information in the system, billing, and collections.
4. Other: In-house system development and maintenance.
Most of the time, you will be working in the office, communicating face-to-face. You can also work from home up to once a week. Flexible working hours are also available, allowing you to work in a way that suits your lifestyle.
Work will primarily be conducted in Japanese, with the exception of some internal meetings and communication with the tech team.
Work Environment
Our group is made up of members in their 30s to 50s. Each member utilizes their expertise and knowledge to make it easy to communicate with others.
Furthermore, many of the project members who work together are in their 20s. All members of the Corporate Operations Section 2 were hired mid-career. More than 80% of them are from industries other than the telecommunications industry, so they come from a variety of backgrounds.
The tools and languages used are as follows:
KINTONE, Seikyu-Kannri-Robo, Google Cloud, etc.
The main development environment is as follows:
OS - Linux, Languages - PHP/Python/JavaScript, Database - mySQL.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience:
・3+ years of experience in application development and maintenance.
・3+ years of management experience.
・3+ years of experience in outsourcing management.
・3+ years of experience building servers and networks in the cloud.
・3+ years of work experience at a Japanese company in Japan.
- Communication Skills:
・Ability to communicate smoothly, including collaborating with various stakeholders and reporting and proposing to management and executives.
- Japanese Language Proficiency: Native (N1 or higher for non-Japanese candidates)
- Attitude: A challenging spirit, the ability to respond positively even in difficult situations, and unafraid of change
