Job Description

Harbor is seeking a Supportive Services, Access Center & Intake Manager to join the Perrysburg team! This position oversees the support services, access center, and intake operations at Harbor, ensuring efficient and seamless access to mental health services.

Position is full time, first shift and requires going between both Wood County locations, along with occasional trips to the Toledo office.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements

  • Requires an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of two years of Medical Practice/Supervision experience; or in lieu of previous requirement H.S. Diploma with 8 years of Medical Practice/Supervision experience.
  • Experience with private and public insurance, and an understanding of the business of mental health preferred.
  • Must be a team player, honest, self-motivated and organized.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills required.
  • Able to work successfully with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
  • Must be proficient and accurate in computer use, including Microsoft Word.

Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties

  1. Provides personnel management functions for assigned staff including supervision, annual evaluations, involvement in hiring, disciplinary actions, etc. Any disciplinary action involving time off without pay or termination requires prior consultation with Human Resources.
  2. Exhibits leadership and team-building skills to promote a cooperative atmosphere that leads to acceptable/expected levels of productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of team members.
  3. Coordinates all operations within assigned clinical staff and program services.
  4. Responsible for providing and coordinating training for staff.
  5. Assists in innovation, development and implementation and evaluation of services.
  6. Collects, compiles, and interprets data on the program. Submits required reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
  7. Prepares an annual plan for responsible areas and ensures progress toward its achievement.
  8. Participates in staff meetings, serves on committees as appointed, and is actively involved in continuing education and professional organizations as appropriate.
  9. Provides direct services as requested by Harbor leadership or as indicated by client or provider needs.
  10. Provides troubleshooting and training for computer software in coordination with the ITDepartment.
  11. Assist in eliminating barriers for Harbor clients.
  12. Creates documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.
  13. Ensures customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
  14. Works with others to secure new business, referrals and relationships for Harbor.
  15. Provides leadership in development, implementation, monitoring and corrections throughout the budgeting process.
  16. Professionally answers phones, takes and delivers accurate messages efficiently as a back up to other departmental support staff as appropriate.
  17. Works as a member of the team and provides backup support to phones and front desk(s) to insure excellent customer service.
  18. Facilitates site meetings to conduct safety related training and drills.
  19. Attends staff meetings as appropriate.
  20. Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
