
- Salary Package: $126,306 - $140,543 p.a. plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to manage and assist in the development of the University's strategies and programs to support students at academic risk, and to provide advocacy support for students in response to the University's policy and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the effective delivery of the University’s central support for students operations in accordance with the Support for Students Policy in collaboration with Faculty support for students programs.
Manage the effective delivery of central transition and retention initiatives in collaboration with Faculty support for students programs.
Develop and implement best practice support for students at risk and retention programs for domestic and international coursework students.
Develop and manage end to end initiatives to support students at risk in accordance with HESA 2003, Section 19-43, including communication and risk mitigation plans.
Manage the coordination of the University’s delivery of dedicated orientation and social programs for international students in accordance with ESOS requirements.
Manage the delivery, design and continuous improvement of the University’s central support for students at risk program to create an optimal student support framework including but not limited to a student welcome, students on academic progression and students on a leave of absence calling campaigns.
Manage the Student Advocate team and provide support in relation to the University's policies and procedures as required.
Analyse and report on advocacy support requests, calling campaign trends and student interaction data to inform and lead the design and implementation of targeted student support initiatives.
Ensure support for students programs and initiatives comply with ESOS Act and TEQSA requirements
This is a campus-based (on-site), student-facing role.
About you
You’ll be a self-starting individual with excellent work organisation and time management skills and ability to remain resilient when under pressure. You will have expert planning, design and content development capabilities, able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment, applying a methodical and consultative approach in your work, and be motivated to deliver work outputs that are of a consistent high quality.

Degree or equivalent experience in business, education, finance, law or related discipline.
Knowledge of the Australian higher education system.
Expert knowledge of policies, processes and best practice relating to student engagement, transition and support within the higher education sector.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret data from student engagement initiatives, including calling campaigns and advocacy support requests, to inform reporting, identify emerging trends, and develop evidence-based support strategies.
Expert knowledge of the University's policies and processes relating to commencement, orientation and student engagement.
Extensive experience in leading and successfully implementing project and change programs and initiatives.
Ability to build and manage partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
