The Manager Supply Chain Planning, is responsible for ensuring that the supply of the assigned product portfolio is available at the distribution center in the quantities required to meet commercial demand. In addition, this role acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in supply while understanding demand and market dynamics. The job holder is the key resource for implementing supply chain planning integration and optimization activities. The job holder is responsible for the supply and demand planning processes and systems, including new product launch/ commercialization.
This includes, but not limited to, processes from forecast input to receipt of goods in distribution centers, and the management of the planning functions required to achieve objectives for customer service, inventory management, and supply chain attainment goals. Planning will take place within an Integrated Business Planning Process (IBP), which aligns Operations, Finance and Commercial functions on demand, supply (production) and inventory plans.
ESSENTAIL FUNCTIONS
- Manage the integration of new products into the Par Health supply planning process:
- Contribute to business process design and mapping as Supply Chain Planning SME.
- Own investigation and resolution of issues with respect to:
- Finished Drug product or Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) safety stocks;
- Inventory reconciliation;
- Production, intermediate and raw material lead times;
- Intermediate and raw material stock levels;
- MRP set up (item master, material master);
- Communication, internal and external.
- Establish highly effective and collaborative relationships with partners in Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing Operations.
- Generate supply plans within IBP process:
- Incorporate strategic initiatives into plans.
- Coordinate initiatives to identify Supply Chain improvements and opportunities that will optimize resource utilization, customer service levels and working capital in order to meet demand plans within the IBP process.
- Coordinate IBP Supply Meeting preparation. Align production plans & resource utilization, inventory projections and financial variables.
- Establish and propose methods of optimizing resources & costs while achieving production & inventory targets.
- Lead reviews of budgeted production volumes and assumptions.
- Lead IBP supply meetings to review supply/demand balances and inventory projections
- Lead reviews of opportunistic business management and risk mitigation.
- Lead review of slow & non-moving items with Finance, Supply Chain & Manufacturing.
- Establish Inventory policy, lead reviews of near/ long term target inventory & safety stock adherence.
- Generate Master Production plans to meet demand and inventory policy
- Recommend Purchase Order requirements to plant planning and procurement (finished product, intermediate product, materials)
- Manage planning parameters and rules in planning systems:
- Set up, maintain and review MRP and Planning System parameters.
- Manage stocking types.
- Validate net requirements.
- Manage Manufacturing Purchase Orders (where applicable).
- Write and execute test scripts.
- Communicate and coordinate with plants to generate and implement production plans required to meet demand forecasts while balancing manufacturing capacities, material availability, workforce requirements, and manufacturing efficiencies
- Generate near term Supply and Demand Balances for products on allocation and coordinate reviews with Commercial, Marketing, Corporate Planning, R&D, and Plant Planning necessary to provide recommendations on product allocations
- Drive discipline in safety stock and inventory reviews necessary to establish, monitor, and improve customer service performance while minimizing slow and non-moving inventory.
- Manage product network inventory forecasting and controls.
- Calculate, compile, and communicate business performance against key performance indicators and associated metrics for production plans, customer service, and inventory management performance.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, and other functions to support product line transfers, new product launches and other projects as assigned.
- Support best practice implementation for Supply Chain Risk Management, governance, assessment, and mitigation processes.
- Must have the ability to identify issues, problems, and opportunities and to drive process improvements while maintaining effectiveness in a changing environment.
- Actively maintain and continually improve system data flow integrity within ERP and Planning System.
- Handle above in addition to special projects as assigned.
- Investigate new supply chain and workplace concepts through continued education, seminars, training, and/or other research avenues, including those offered internally.
- Participate in Ad hoc projects, goals and objectives as they arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, science or related field; chemistry, engineering, pharma an advantage. Equivalent experience and skills will be considered.
Experience:
- 8-10 years’ experience in Supply Chain management with a focus in Sourcing, Planning, Logistics, and/or New Product Introduction.
- Experience with pharma, OSD or API an advantage.
- Project Management qualification an advantage.
- Experience working within IBP process
- Strong ERP System experience required (JDE and Blue Yonder).
- Both local and global experience is preferred

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS/ SCOPE:
Reports to Head of Supply Chain Planning. This is a key role in the Supply Chain Planning team working with multiple internal/ external manufacturing and distribution sites, International and Corporate functions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position works predominantly in an office environment. This is a hybrid position.
- Occasional travel is required, both US and international.
