
The Manager of Supply Chain Operations provides leadership and oversight for storeroom inventory, supply and distribution services, the mailroom, and the print shop across The Guthrie Clinic. This position ensures timely, accurate, and cost effective‑ material flow throughout the organization while advancing operational efficiency, service excellence, staff development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
•Oversee daily operations for inventory management, supply and distribution, mailroom, and print shop services.
•Allocate resources and staffing to meet customer and departmental needs.
•Maintain a safe, well organized, and service-oriented environment aligned with organizational standards‑.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
•Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, workflow efficiency, and service delivery.
•Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, identify root causes, and implement corrective action plans.
•Support quality improvement standards by collecting data, identifying opportunities, and participating on quality teams.
Financial & Resource Management
•Develop and manage annual operating budgets for assigned departments.
•Create and maintain plans for required capital expenditures.
•Ensure accurate and efficient use of inventory and automated material management systems.
Team Development
•Develop supervisors and team members through coaching, feedback, recognition, and individualized performance management.
•Identify training needs and provide education to improve staff capabilities and support professional growth.

Stakeholder & System Collaboration
•Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and system partners to troubleshoot supply chain issues and support service needs.
•Work with system administrators for troubleshooting, system testing, and optimization of automated materials management systems.
•Represent the department on committees, projects, and external forums as appropriate.

•Ensure compliance with policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
•Promote safe work practices and monitor adherence to ergonomic, environmental, and physical safety expectations.

Essential Functions
•Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely distribution of supplies and services.
•Lead continuous improvement initiatives across supply and distribution, the mailroom, and the print shop.
•Use performance metrics to guide decision making‑ and operational enhancements.
•Develop and monitor departmental budgets and capital planning requirements.

•Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast ‑paced environment requiring independent judgment.
Experience Required
•Minimum three years of management or supervisory experience.
•Minimum three years of experience in a materials management–related function (central supply, storeroom, receiving, distribution).
•Strong working knowledge of inventory systems, automated materials management systems, and associated methodologies.
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly in multidisciplinary environments.
Experience Preferred
•Experience in a healthcare supply chain environment.
•Experience leading Lean, continuous improvement, or operational transformation initiatives.
Education Preferred
•Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Logistics, or related field.
•Professional certifications such as CMRP, CSCP, or Lean/Six Sigma credentials.
Pay range min $4.30/hr max $62.90/hr
