Job Description
The Manager of Supply Chain Facility Development & Process Engineering plays a critical execution and analytical role in supporting the transformation of the North American Mopar Parts and Service Distribution Network. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain Network Transformation, this position focuses on detailed process flow design, capital accounting support, building specification review, and end-to-end project management for new construction, upfit, and distribution network optimization initiatives.
This role combines technical facility design understanding with strong organizational, analytical, and project management capabilities. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, and capable of managing complex tasks across construction planning, operational flow engineering, and financial tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Flow Engineering & Operational Design
- Develop detailed warehouse process flows, material movement maps, and storage strategy layouts to support new and existing Parts Distribution Centers.
- Translate high-level network strategies into precise operational designs including equipment specifications, workflow sequencing, manpower planning, and throughput expectations.
- Conduct data analysis to support operational modeling, scenario evaluation, and improvement recommendations.
Capital Planning & Financial Tracking
- Support creation, tracking, and management of capital budgets for new construction and building modification projects.
- Maintain detailed capital expenditure logs, monitor approved budgets versus actuals, and escalate variances with supporting data.
- Prepare documentation required for capital requests, approvals, and financial governance processes.
- Partner with Finance, Real Estate, and the Senior Manager to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with investment plans.
Building Specification Review & Technical Coordination
- Review mechanical, architectural, civil, and structural building plans to ensure alignment with operational requirements and corporate building standards.
- Identify gaps, design risks, or functional issues and work with architects, engineers, and developers to resolve them.
- Validate that facility specifications support material handling equipment, racking layouts, safety standards, and flow efficiency.
- Track drawing revisions, manage documentation, and ensure final design packages meet readiness criteria prior to approval.
Project Management & Execution Support
- Manage day-to-day project activities for construction and upfit projects, maintaining schedules, action logs, risk registers, and status reports.
- Facilitate cross functional communication across Operations, Engineering, Real Estate, IT, Safety, and external partners.
- Support onsite construction oversight, ensuring installation quality, spec adherence, and timely issue resolution.
- Coordinate material movement planning, stock up execution, and operational readiness tasks during new facility launches or transitions
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Senior Manager to support long-term network strategies with detailed tactical plans
- Assistsubject matter experts in implementing new technology, automation, and process innovation initiatives.
- Ensure facility and process documentation is accurate, current, and accessible for all stakeholders.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business, Construction Management, or related fields
- Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain operations, industrial engineering, facility design, construction coordination, or project management.
- Working knowledge of warehouse process flow design, material movement principles, or facility layout engineering.
- Experience with capital budgeting, financial tracking, or project accounting.
- Ability to interpret and review architectural, mechanical, and civil construction drawings.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WMS, layout planning, simulation tools, or material handling equipment design.
- Exposure to distribution centers, construction or large warehouse upfit projects.
- Knowledge of warehouse automation or storage system technologies.
- Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent certification.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design review tools.
