As a Manager, Supply Chain, you’ll lead sourcing and purchasing activities for assigned commodity groups, ensuring the best value supply of parts and services while meeting program, quality, and delivery requirements. You will also oversee a team of buyers and drive supplier performance and cost optimization initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and prioritize workload for a team of buyers, including setting objectives and supporting performance development
  • Develop and execute commodity strategies based on cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Lead RFQs (Request for Quotation), evaluate supplier proposals, and support supplier selection decisions
  • Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts, and inventory agreements to achieve cost savings and favorable terms
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (on-time delivery, quality, cost) and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Lead cost reduction and value improvement initiatives across assigned commodities
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams on supplier qualification and issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP systems to support reporting and audits
  • Analyze spend data and market trends to identify sourcing opportunities and risks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, including managing RFQs, supplier selection, and contract execution
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience leading or coordinating the work of buyers or cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating supplier agreements with measurable results (e.g., cost savings, cost avoidance, or improved terms)
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to manage purchase orders and supplier data
  • Hands-on experience conducting cost analysis, including cost breakdowns or should-cost modeling

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel and CI (Continuous Improvement) methodologies for data analysis, reporting, and process optimization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of supplier quality standards (e.g., AS9100)
