Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing RfX processes for purchase requisitions, negotiating competitive supplier pricing through direct engagement and e-Auctions, converting requisitions to purchase orders within stipulated SLAs, and maintaining robust vendor relationships to uphold operational excellence.

  • Non-Contracted Transactions & Maverick Spend Oversight: Address non-contracted transactions and maverick expenditure to enhance cost savings and strengthen procurement policy adherence.
  • RfX Coordination: Prepare and disseminate Requests for Information (RFI), Proposals (RFP), and Quotations (RFQ) for purchase requisitions, ensuring optimal pricing and contractual terms.
  • Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate with vendors directly or via e-Auctions to secure favourable pricing, quality, and delivery schedules for all procurement initiatives.
  • Purchase Order Processing: Expedite the conversion of approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders in line with Service Level Agreements.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Serve as principal liaison to suppliers, facilitating timely material deliveries and proactively resolving quality or delay concerns.
  • Cost Optimization Initiatives: Implement strategies leveraging negotiation skills and market intelligence to maximise procurement-related cost reductions.
  • Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure alignment of procurement practices with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track and report key procurement indicators—such as cost savings, vendor performance, and SLA compliance—to support data-driven decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders, to align purchasing activities with business objectives.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, or a related discipline. Professional certifications (e.g., cpsm, cscp, cips) are advantageous.
