Role impact:
The Manager, Supplier Management will be responsible for creating efficiency and consistency in how we engage our suppliers. This role will provide leadership and guidance on enterprise-wide Supplier Management best practices; ensuring the protection of CF’s assets/information that are accessible by suppliers, optimizing the contractual relationships with service providers and supporting mutually beneficial partnerships that enables innovation & operational excellence.
What you will deliver:
- Support the Sourcing & Procurement team in various disciplines, including Contract renewals, amendments and in the preparation and execution of RFx’s by acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all National Contracts and contributing to the evaluation process (as required).
- Counsel and provide guidance to the Portfolios and Properties on Supplier Management best-practices, and apply specialized knowledge in the development of policies, procedures and tools on behalf of the enterprise.
- Manage Contract Administration activities, including drafting addenda, familiarity with contract structures and mechanisms, including measuring performance, handling escalations, defining action plans, as well as supplier compliance to terms & conditions.
- Review, manage & maintain existing relationships with vendors with the goal of ensuring continued partnership between Cadillac Fairview and the service providers in delivering operational efficiency & client experience.
- Manage quality control of all national contracts and field complaints from the Properties with respect to contract agreements and said servicing.
- Communicate with all stakeholders about the program(s) on a regular basis.
- Establish and identify processes and procedures for improvement to maximize the value of supplier relationships, including development and application of various metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare for and lead Vendor Partnership meetings, including requesting periodic reporting as defined in the agreements or on an ad-hoc basis, scorecards, penalties/bonuses, etc.
- Partner with Portfolios, Properties and vendors on the quarterly performance review of KPIs and contract service commitments, evaluate and make recommendations on action plans as required.
- Manage quality control of all National Contract, including Due Diligence requirements such as Information Security and other risk related areas.
- Provide conflict resolution support in dealing with vendors when escalated by Portfolios and Properties by investigating issues and recommending solutions including but not limited to contract agreements, servicing and quality control of national contracts.
- Manage and direct staff (e.g. defines team member roles, responsibilities and expectations; provides timely feedback to meet the project schedule, scope & deliverables; monitors work assignments for adherence to timelines), leads, coaches and motivates employee in their work processes; monitors achievements of performance objectives and develops and implements action plans to address performance gaps
What your strengths are:
- Computer literacy required – senior or advanced level in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the industry and related technology.

- Strong contract negotiation skills with demonstrated successful outcomes and ability to effectively manage supplier & staff relationships.

What you need to succeed:
- Undergraduate Degree is required. Preference will be given to the following designations: business, economics, engineering or related field.
- CPM or RPA an asset
- University or College degree in Business or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience leading Supplier Management programs, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing personnel.
- Experience with Real Estate and Facilities Management categories such as Janitorial, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) an asset
- Project Management equivalent work experience.
Starting base salary for this job level may range from $81,433 to $108,577. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
