The Opportunity

As a manager focused on growth strategy, you will play a critical role in leading and developing strategic projects for our clients based in Mauritius and the region. You will work with businesses to define and implement growth strategies while ensuring client satisfaction, quality deliverables, team development, and contributing to EY Parthenon’s business development.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves crafting and leading strategic solutions tailored to meet client needs in growth, transformation, and operational efficiency. It requires a deep understanding of client challenges to deliver impactful strategies and measurable outcomes.

As a trusted partner, the position emphasizes building long-term relationships through clear communication and customized solutions. Managing complex projects is a central responsibility, requiring meticulous planning, execution, and alignment with client objectives.

The role also encompasses a strong focus on team leadership and development. Beyond inspiring high-performing teams, it involves mentoring and training junior consultants, fostering their growth and equipping them with the skills to excel in project delivery and client interactions. Creating a collaborative environment is key to ensuring team success and professional fulfillment.

Additionally, the position includes preparing compelling technical and financial proposals, contributing to business development, and supporting the sales process. Analytical rigor underpins all activities, with data-driven insights forming the foundation for strategic recommendations.

Finally, the role demands adaptability and innovation, leveraging market trends to anticipate client needs and propose forward-thinking solutions in a dynamic environment.

Key skills and attributes for business

• Play a leadership role in helping grow the EY-Parthenon Strategy business.
• Define the objective and scope of strategy engagements and client deliverables in consultation with the Partner.
• Lead teams in the execution of both commercial due diligence and strategy engagements.
• Develop business strategies using tools such as market analysis, customer research, macroeconomic forecasting, business plan, transformation road map and portfolio optimization.
• Manage, develop, and mentor junior team members at the Associate, Senior Associate, Consultant levels.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to clients and internal teams.

What we look for:
Academic Qualifications:

• Degree from a top business or engineering school, or equivalent in management.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.

Professional Experience:

• 5-8 years of experience in consulting, ideally in finance, industry,
• Experience managing business strategy development in the banking, capital markets, wealth management, asset management, corporate finance ; this experience can come from prior consulting work or direct experience in the financial services industry
• Experience managing M&A strategic diligence projects in complex environments, venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking,
• Strong quantitative skills to supervise data analysis, interpret output and generate insights
• Ability to make detailed assessments of industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities.
• Proficient in the English and French languages, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel, when necessary (approximately 25-50%).

Language Skills:

• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
