The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As the Manager, Strategic Planning you will support the Head of Strategy and Business Development in driving divisional strategic planning. The Strategic Planning team assists senior leadership in making decisions on innovation portfolio and pipeline to maintain competitive differentiation and achieve growth goals.
This person will conduct fact-based analyses that synthesize industry trends, identify and assess strategic options, and quantify opportunities. This role will support all aspects of ADC strategic planning, including creating material to guide key executive workshops and meetings and collaborating across the organization.
What You’ll Work On
Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends, competitive dynamics, and adjacent industry spaces to evaluate opportunities for ADC
Collaborate with Competitive Intelligence, Analytics, Market Research, and other ADC teams to aggregate and synthesize information across the organization
Lead and program manage cross-functional working teams to gather input, drive analyses, and advance key strategic workstreams
Project manage strategic planning cycles end-to-end, tracking activities and deadlines leading up to key meetings and managing action items coming out of them
Drive major portions of materials for the biannual senior executive innovation workshops, as well as materials for other key strategic planning meetings
Build and drive business cases in support of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, quantifying opportunities and translating analyses into actionable recommendations
Develop executive-ready communications — including PowerPoint presentations, storylines, and talk tracks — for senior leadership in strategic planning sessions and innovation workshops
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related business experience including market research
Preferred Qualifications
8 years combined sales, marketing or marketing research preferred
Previous healthcare sales, marketing or research experience
